Adult Day Health Service Guidance

ODM wants to make you aware of new emergency provisions affecting adult day services in home and community-based service waivers administered by ODM and the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA). ODM sought and received approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the Appendix K to permit adult day service delivery telephonically or in an individual’s home as opposed to the adult day center. These new adult day service provisions are effective immediately and are supported by emergency rules enacted by ODM and ODA.
